Update...

I want to start by apologizing for the site being down for a little while, unfortunately there was not enough funding to cover hosting fees. I will do my best to keep this site up so that those who wish to contact me still can (since the store phone and address are no longer viable contacts).

It has come to my attention that there are a few vendors who are still unsure as to how to contact me to receive their work back: please email me at tara@allabouteve.us, I want to hear from you! I do not have everyone's contact information on hand, and would love to get in touch.

On a more personal note: I just want to say thank you to those who have helped me with this project, from the beginning when I needed to find display tables all the way through now when I'm working through the aftermath of financial trouble and a chaotic living situation. I love you all, you have no idea how much you mean to me.

I sincerely hope when things get better, we can get this wagon rolling again (only next time we'll do it during a good economy so the funding won't get cut and the people working in the shop can actually be paid!). I look forward to better times with all of you!

Physical Location Closed...

Unfortunately our store doors have closed... this is due to many reasons, but I can assure you that this is actually a positive step in our growth!

The eBay shop remains open, and we will have a smaller number of handmade items for sale through there for now. We will be reopening our physical location in the future (when the economy is doing a little better), stay tuned!

To my lovely vendors: it has come to my attention that some of you did not receive my email regarding this change in location. Please contact me at tara@allabouteve.us and we can get everything straightened out ASAP.

Much love to everyone, and we will see you again very soon!

Toys For Tots Update

I just wanted to post and say a special "thank you" to the Orientation Center for the Blind for their generous toy donation!

While I will be taking toy donations all year round, the Toys For Tots folks would really love to get everything for Christmas by December 15th. I will be taking the bulk of the Christmas donations on saturday morning, so please bring your donations so they can be giving for the holiday!

Also, I'll be dropping off the One Warm Coat donations for the holiday seasons on the 21st, so if you have any coats, sweaters, sweatshirts, scarves, hats, etc. to donate please drop them off!

Thanks to you all :)

Deck the Halls...

Hi folks! Couple of quick updates:

1. The Toys For Tots drive is still going! Even though it's a year-round event, the Alameda field office is asking that all donations specifically for Christmas be delivered to them by the 15th of December. Just a few more days left to make a child's holiday that much brighter!

Not sure what to get? I do have a small selection of toys in the shop that can be purchased and placed directly in the donation box! You can also donate a couple of dollars at the register to be donated as well.

2. Our One Warm Coat drive is still in effect as well, thanks to those who have already dropped coats by! We are collecting coats, sweaters, jackets, sweatshirts etc. for men women and children, and they don't need to be new (just clean). Now's the time to clean out your closet, and help keep someone warm this winter at the same time!

3. It feels weird to be typing this, but someone has stolen our door mat. I'm not sure why, considering it was from Ikea and quite wet with rain at the time it was taken, but all I can figure is someone really and truly needed it more than we do. Maybe we should start hosting a doormat drive sometime soon?

Got Toys or Clothes to Donate?

My store is now a drop-off point for Toys For Tots and One Warm Coat!

Toys For Tots:

-Unwrapped toys worth $10 - $20, ideally they'd like to have the bulk by December 15th but they can accept donations after that as well

One Warm Coat:

-Think of any outwear that will keep someone warm -- a coat, sweater, jacket, sweatshirt. Also, if you have any hats or mittens, they would be appreciated also.

Come on by and make someone's holiday a little brighter with your donation!

The Online Shop Is Finally Open!

You can check it out here: http://shop.allabouteve.us

The inventory list is not yet complete (there aren't enough hours in the day for me to finish adding the hundreds of items in the store) but there's a good selection and more is coming soon! It is my goal to have the entire inventory in the shop for sale online before the end of November.

We also get new things in every day, so please check back often!

Whoohoo!

Now that a week of the store being open has officially passed, I can take a moment to collect my thoughts...

But only a moment, because there's still so much to do. :)

The book signing on the 21st was fun, even though not many people dropped by. It was still wonderful to sit and talk with Ayamanatara, and after she left I sold all the copies of the book I'd bought for the store anyway, so it all worked out. More are coming!

I have many people interested in using my classroom space for their classes and groups, but no confirmed dates yet. I promise that as soon as dates are confirmed, I will post the info on the website calendar.

Also coming soon: the web store is almost completed! As soon as I finish compiling all of the information on each item and artist, I will get it uploaded and linked to www.allabouteve.us so look for that in the next couple of days!

This week has been SO much fun for me, and I want to thank all of you that helped make it happen. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
